Refuge Psychotherapy
Natalie Williamsen, CSWA
Maybe you’ve spent years wondering why things that seem manageable for other people feel so difficult for you…
Many of the clients and families I work with come in feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, misunderstood, or frustrated by patterns they've struggled to change on their own. Some are navigating ADHD that has gone unrecognized for years, while others are trying to make sense of why work, school, relationships, parenting, emotional regulation, or everyday responsibilities can feel harder than it seems.
Years of masking, overcompensating, and pushing through have left you feeling exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or believing something is wrong with you.
My approach combines practical support with deeper understanding, helping clients gain insight into how their brains and nervous systems work while building support that actually fits their lives.
As clients begin to better understand themselves and how ADHD impacts their lives, many also begin recognizing strengths and ways of thinking that have been there all along.
I believe people make more meaningful and lasting change when they feel genuinely understood rather than judged. My goal is to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and able to show up as themselves without judgment while building practical, sustainable support for real life.
Refuge Psychotherapy provides ADHD-focused therapy and evaluation for children, adolescents, adults, while also supporting parents and families navigating the impact of ADHD.
